Your First Visit
We will email you an online intake form to fill out. If you prefer to fill this out in person that is available but there will be less time to treat you. Please arrive no more than 3 minutes early for your first appointment. This ensures clients do not overlap and we have appropriate time to disinfect the room between sessions. Please wear comfortable movable clothing, ideally no jeans.
When you book an appointment with Multidimensional Health, that time is reserved just for you. We understand that unexpected events happen and you may need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. If you provide us with at least 48 hours notice, there is no charge for cancelling your appointment.
Full price of the appointment will be charged if notice is provided after the 24 hour mark. We of course understand emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances can arise at the last minute, and this will certainly be taken into consideration. Our answering machine is always operating and is checked regularly. This cancellation policy is necessary for our small business to continue to serve our clients in need of treatment. You can cancel your appointments online, by email or phone.

What to expect in your session
Our initial consultation begins with a detailed health history, this gives us clues to your main problem, its origin, and its effect in your life. Incidents in your past, trauma you may not have thought of or current lifestyle, can actually be linked to your symptoms. This is followed by a manual evaluation including an assessment of gait, posture, mobility and motility where we create a treatment plan. This often involves asking you to perform simple movements, standing, walking and sitting so that we can observe you in motion.
Our gentle examination of the bones, joints, ligaments, tissues mobility helps guide our treatment planning. Treatment includes mobilizing your physical structure with respect to your individual of anatomy, biomechanics, and physiology. You can expect a full body, manual and active rehabilitation approach. Clients may be advised to seek out additional practitioners in other fields to assist in the healing process such as Physiotherapy, Naturopathy, Chiropractic, Nutrition, Counselling or Psychology . Sessions can be as interactive or as quiet as you would like. In all cases the sessions will be specific to your needs.
Comfortable unrestrictive clothing, shorts, T-shirts or tank tops and face mask.
What should you bring for your session?
How many treatments are recommended?
Depending on whether your condition is chronic (occurring for longer than 3 months), acute (occurring less than 3 months). While every individual case in unique our goal is to see improvement within in 1-3 visits spaced one to two weeks apart. Some people with less serious conditions may feel better right away. Other people with more difficult or chronic conditions usually benefit from ongoing treatments every month to six weeks.
You are reassessed at every visit and your treatment plan will be tailored to meet your individual needs. We need to observe over time how your body responds to treatment. We like to have one to two between sessions to ensure the body has sufficient time to fully integrate a treatment. Some people obtain relief immediately, some require several treatments before responding. Some do not respond, if this is the case we will refer you to a practitioner who we think is a better match.
Rest after you go home if possible, if your body wants to sleep please nap. If treatment is for a painful condition, avoid strenuous activity for 2 days after a treatment even if you are pain free. Light exercise is ideal. Take pain medication or other medications as directed by your doctor.
Occasionally symptoms become worse before they improve. This usually lasts 1-2 days. If they last beyond 48 hours please contact us. The number of treatments required varies with each person, and with each injury or condition
